Monthly Gifts

You can make a difference for the children in our community who need it most when you join our monthly giving program. Your monthly gift, via credit card or electronic funds transfer from your bank account, will provide ongoing support for Sherwood Forest. Even though our programs are anchored in a residential summer camp experience, Sherwood Forest is a home-away-from home for our kids-year round: our kids will be going to camp for reunions this fall and next spring, planning their college trips from our St. Louis offices throughout the school year, and participating in a huge variety of activities, from attending performing arts shows to taking part in community service opportunities. Your monthly gift makes a difference all year long, too. When will my card be charged for my monthly gift?
Your credit or debit card will be charged immediately on the date of your initial gift and on the 10th of every month thereafter. If your initial gift is received before the 10th of the month, we will only charge your card once during that month.

Is my credit card, debit card, or bank account information stored securely?
For your recurring monthly gift, the account information you provide will be stored securely via SafeSave™ for automatic processing of your future payments. We keep your personal information private and secure. When you make a payment through our site, you provide your name, contact information, payment information, and additional information related to your transaction. We use this information to process your payment and to ensure your payment is correctly credited to your account.

How do I increase or decrease my monthly giving amount?
You can increase or decrease your monthly gift at any time. Please send an email to development@sherwoodforeststl.org or call us at 314-644-3322 during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.). If you use the email option, please be certain you receive a message back from us confirming that we have fulfilled your request.

Can I temporarily suspend my monthly donation and put payments on hold for a few months?
You can skip monthly payments at any time. If you use the email option, please be certain you receive a message back from us confirming that we have fulfilled your request.

How do I cancel my monthly donation?
You can stop your monthly giving at any time. How do I change my current monthly gift from credit/debit card to my checking account?
Giving through your checking account saves on credit card fees and ensures your gift doesn’t lapse due to changes in your card number or expiration date. This is the easiest, most cost-effective way to help the kids of Sherwood Forest all year long! To make a monthly gift through your checking account, you may call our office at 314-644-3322 with your checking account number and routing number.

How can I make a one-time donation in addition to my monthly giving?
You can make a one-time gift online using our donation page at any time, or call us at 314-644-3322 during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.).

Are my monthly donations to Sherwood Forest tax-deductible?
Your contribution to Sherwood Forest is tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. In January, we will send you a written summary of your contributions during the previous calendar year. Please consult your tax advisor or attorney for information about your specific tax situation.
