Camp is almost in session! This page features resources to help you prepare for camp and know what to expect during camp.
Helpful Information
Staying in touch
Letters and emails are permitted during camp if you follow the following guidelines:
DO
- send cheerful letters, postcards, or emails to let your child know your thinking about them
- write as many letters as you’d like!
DO NOT
- send food, snacks, or beverages
- relay sad or disturbing news via letter or email – please call the office and speak to the Camp Director with such news.
- be surprised if your child sends short letters in response – it does not mean your child does not have a lot to say, it just means that he/she is too busy to say it!
Packages
To keep things equitable among our campers, Sherwood Forest does NOT allow packages at camp. If a package is sent to camp, it will be returned to the sender. Please make sure your camper packs everything they may need for the duration of camp. They are welcome to bring a deck of cards, a stuffed animal, coloring book, etc., but please do not send or mail food, snacks, gum, or candy of any kind. If food is brought or mailed to camp, it will be thrown away.
