After 28 years, a group of Sherwood Forest Alumni returned to camp to reconnect and recreate a treasured photograph.
The original photo from 1991 is of a cabin group made up of Charity Goodwin, Heidi Graham, Shashanna Huber, Ayanna (Ward) Dorsey, Salena (Naddaf) Gibbs, Sarah Wyatt Kirkpatrick – along with their counselor, Kerri Jones Bunge. All of those in the original picture except for Ayanna were able to attend the reunion. Also in attendance were three other staff from that summer- Cindy Martin, the Village Director, Alice Bower, the Program Director, and Mary Rogers, the Camp Director (and current Executive Director).
“It was magical. I only wish it could have been longer,” said Kerri after the weekend concluded.
