Listen to your Art Club

Mondays at 5:00 pm                              Grades: 2nd – 5th

Mondays at 6:30 pm                              Grades: 6th – 9th

The great thing about art is it can never be wrong because it’s all about one’s creativity and imagination. Listen to your Art is about discovering different mediums of art. Campers will have a chance to experience watercolor, clay, pastels, still drawings, and other forms of art during the duration of the club. For a final project, members will have to come up with an artwork that represents themselves.

 

Around the World Club

Tuesdays at 5:30 pm                              Grades: 2nd – 9th

Have you always wanted to know what England was like? What about Mexico? We have staff from all over the world, so let’s learn about the different countries that make up our international camp community. ATW is all about discovering different countries and cultures. Each week, we will take a deeper look into the country of the week. Members will discuss that country’s flag, food, history, and culture. For the final project, club members will pick a country to research and present to other members.

 

Thespians Theatre Club

Tuesdays at 5:30 pm                              Grades: 2nd – 9th

Do you have a passion for the theatre? This club is for any camper interested in performing arts, stage production, singing, dancing, set construction, and/or lighting design. Members of this club will get to discuss the basics of theatre and their opinions about different plays and musicals. Club members will also get to play a wide range of theatre games and learn acting and directing skills. During the club, members will also put on a play and perform it for the Sherwood community.

 

Into the Woods Club

Wednesdays at 5:30 pm                         Grades: 2nd – 9th

“Everything in nature invites us constantly to be what we are.” Into the Woods club members are passionate about the great outdoors and love our Outdoor Living Skills department at camp. Members will get to participate in their favorite OLS activities at home, including paracord bracelets, plant terrariums, nature hikes, and more!

 

Wellness Club

Wednesdays at 5:30 pm                         Grades: 2nd – 9th

Exercising your mind, body, and soul fuels every part of a person. Each week join us as we discover different ways to be active. Members will learn and participate in different ways to get the body and mind moving, whether that’s Zumba, Yoga, self-care, meditation, or brain teasers. This club will provide fun incentives to keep campers engaged and excited about being active. Members will learn how to keep track of their own wellness goals and learn some easy healthy recipes.

 

Who’s the Foodie Club?

Saturdays at 11:00 am                           Grades: 2nd – 5th

Saturdays at 1:00 pm                             Grades: 6th – 9th

What makes a meal? What’s the science behind cooking? Can cooking be fun? Welcome to Who’s the Foodie? Club! This club is dedicated to all things food. Yes, you read that right! Campers will receive food packages curated by an SFC staff member with thoughts of your taste buds in mind. Join us once a week as we create goodies like Rice Krispy Conversation Hearts, Personal Peach Cobbler, Quick Mac & Cheese, and many more!
